About The Poutama TukuTuku Panel.
About The Poutama TukuTuku Panel.
In meeting houses, the panels are usually mirror imaged (a reflection) so that the steps climb upwards from both sides to reach the top of the center. The poutama (step-like pattern) has both religions and educational and the growth mans meanings. The step symbolise levels of attainment and advancement. Tukutuku panels are māori patterns, and are used in marae´s.

The burning house
in our writing groups we watch a fare man how safe a kitten we write about it and these is what i wrote.
The burning house
“Oh no that house is burning, let's stop the fire.
It’s burning hot, is everyone alive?” It is so hot that the ceiling has collapsed. Their belongings are burning as well. What can I do to help? The walls are dirty and stinky.
What is that ? Is it a dead kitten, it is still alive but it can't breath. Maybe I can save it? Quick give me a mask and cold water. Yay it can breathe “ little kitten let's be friends”.
